Writing on Beach

"I've already lost touch with a couple of people I used to be."

About Me

I am a compulsive, life-long diarist and am never without a pen. There are more than a few cocktail napkins in my desk, each covered with random ideas and observations that could form the basis of an essay or short story. I find the everyday and the banal endlessly fascinating. I cannot recall a moment I've ever been truly bored.

Mom. Writer. Lawyer. Professor. Space nerd. The order depends on the day. If the house were ablaze, I'd grab my signed copy of Carl Sagan’s Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors and my over-flowing "MOMM" keepsake box (the "Y" was lost long ago).

I have a list of questions for Lawrence Kasdan about The Big Chill - empirically the greatest movie of all time - and am just awaiting his call.
